TRIMBLE COUNTY JR/SR HIGH

JR/SR High student schedules will be available for pick-up Tuesday, August 9 and Wednesday, August 10 from 10 am-6pm. Stop by the front lobby at your convenience to pick up your schedule for the 2022-2023 school year. Chromebook and course fees may also be paid at this time. We invite you to join us on Thursday, August 11 for our Back-to-School Open House. Bring your schedule and meet your teachers from 5-7 pm. Any student planning to take the ACT on September 10th, today is the last do to register. Below is a list of 2022-2023 National test dates. This message is for any Trimble Co. Jr/Sr High student with incomplete credit recovery and/or summer school courses remaining on Edgenuity. Course finals must be scheduled by August 1st. SBDM Special Meeting: The JR/SR High School SBDM will meet June 15, 2022 at 3:30 pm. This is our regularly scheduled meeting time. Due to construction, the meeting has been moved to the Trimble County Board of Education building.

Congratulations 2022 Graduates!!! We here at TCJSHS are proud of your accomplishment. Don’t stop there… Any senior that intends to attend a college or university in the fall needs to request a final transcript. You can do this by going to the Trimble County High Schools webpage and clicking on the menu. Scroll down to Academics and click on “Parchment eTranscripts”. You will need to create an account and submit an order. Select the school you want the transcript sent to and you are ready to go. You have until July 31st to have your transcript sent for free. Trimble County Students: If you are 16 years or older and interested in becoming a nurse some options for some of your recent graduates or students who may be interested in attending classes to become a CNA. Bedford Springs has several CNA openings currently with our shifts being 7AM to 7PM and 7PM to 7AM. For new hire CNA's who have their license, we are offering a $3,000 sign on bonus payable in 3 installments with the first installment paid out after 90 days. They must be full-time and agree to employment for 1 year. Final reminder for students taking dual credit courses through UK and/or JCTC next year: The enrollment deadline has been extended to June 2. If you intend to take classes next year, you MUST complete enrollment by this time. PLEASE email Ms. Stewart upon completion with the courses you are taking. Senior Awards Ceremony will be Thursday, May 19th, at 6:00 pm in the TC Jr/Sr High School gymnasium. I have sent an email to all seniors requesting information on any scholarships or awards, that they have received from a post-secondary institution, technical school, military branch etc. We will also recognize students receiving industry certifications, degrees, as well as those passing an end of placement exam in our CTE programs. Parents of students in grades 9, 10 and 11 are invited to a scheduling presentation on Wednesday, May 11. The presentation will be in the JR/SR High cafeteria at 6:00 pm. Information regarding course options for the 2023 school year and future academic opportunities will be presented and staff will be available to answer questions. We look forward to seeing you!

Parents and Students: Next week is state testing. We ask that all students bring in their Chromebooks and chargers each day of testing with Chromebooks charged and ready to go. Students need to get plenty of rest, eat breakfast and bring in a bottle of water or container that can be refilled. Happy testing week!

Attention Seniors – Virtual AND In-Person…Graduation Day will be here soon! Here’s some important info… May 18 – Cutoff for being eligible to WALK at graduation – If you do not meet graduation requirements on this day, you may NOT participate in the ceremony. May 19 – Cap & Gown Ceremony, 2:30 pm, at JSHS May 19 – Senior Awards Night, 6:00pm, at JSHS May 20 – Graduation Practice, 8:30 am, at JSHS – bring Cap & Gown for pictures – ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY, or you will NOT be permitted to participate in the ceremony. May 23 – Senior King’s Island Trip If you have not ordered your cap & gown, AND you plan to participate in the Graduation ceremony, you MUST order them ASAP! You may do so at www.herffjones.com. Great news from Ivy Tech! Ivy Tech in Madison, is now accepting KEES money awarded to graduating Seniors. Ivy Tech will also be at TCJR/SR High School during the lunch block on May 5th, from 11:00-12:30 to answer questions from any high school student.

8th grade students and parents: There will be an 8th grade scheduling meeting tonight at 6:00 at the Junior Senior High School. Ms. Howerton and Mrs. Marsh will be there to help with questions. If you can not make it, no worries, we will share the information on the website later next week.
