Pinkies Up for Lucy...Henderson County 4th grader, Lucy Nash, experienced a cardiac event during recess on the opening day of school. Tragically, she passed away. Lucy loved painting her nails pink and tomorrow all Kentucky public schools can show their support for Lucy's family, friends and the Henderson County School district by participating in Pinkies Up For Lucy. I encourage all students and staff to wear pink and/or paint your nails pink in honor of Lucy. Let's remember her loved ones and community in our thoughts and prayers and wear pink to show them they have the love and support of TC.

Kentucky Summative Assessments begin next week! All sophomores and juniors are required to test, including those who are on the virtual platform. It is important that students get enough rest, eat well and are in attendance each day. Please arrive to school on time as testing will begin immediately following morning announcements each day. (Roughly 8:15). Testing will conclude at 11:00 for most students. Sophomores will test Tuesday and Wednesday. Juniors will test Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It is imperative that ALL students, whether or not they are testing , bring their Chromebooks and chargers to school. Please make sure to locate any missing devices and have them ready to come to school on Monday. Freshman and Seniors will use test time to improve failing grades; complete their required ILPs, digital drivers license or civics exam; or participate in special activities. Again, please make sure all students are in attendance with their Chromebooks and chargers. We sincerely appreciate your help in the matter! Thanks so much!!

To all Juniors and Seniors: The community needs our help! Tomorrow, we will take all juniors and seniors that are willing to participate to aid in the tornado clean-up in Milton. Those wishing to help need to: Arrive to school on time. Eat a good breakfast. Wear long pants, long sleeves and close-toed shoes. (Students not dressed as listed will NOT be allowed to participate). Bring a pair of work gloves. (There will be a limited supply of gloves on-site for those who do not have a pair to bring). Temperatures are only expected to reach the upper 30's and low 40's tomorrow, so please dress to stay warm. Layers are recommended. All participants must bring a note of permission from a parent. It should read: (Student's name) has permission to participate in the tornado clean-up on 3/18/24. The note must be signed by a parent/guardian and should include an emergency contact number. We will plan to leave school around 9:00 and return to school between 2 and 2:30. Let's rally the troops and do what we can to assist those impacted by Thursday's tornado. Thanks in advance for your willingness to lend a hand and be a light in our community! See you tomorrow!! WE ARE TC!

This message is for juniors. If you are the parent of a junior, please make sure they receive this information. Thanks! All juniors will take the ACT tomorrow. Here are a few reminders: Be sure to get a good night's rest. Eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning. If you haven't turned in your ACT consent form, please bring it to your test room. Be sure to fully charge your Chromebook tonight and don't forget to bring it and your charger with you! Remember to answer all questions. It's better to guess than to leave any question blank. Relax...you're going to do GREAT!
