Due to the illness of several cast members, the JR/SR drama production that was scheduled for 2/8 and 2/9 has been canceled. "Twelve Angry Jurors" will be rescheduled at a later date. We wish all those dealing with illness a speedy recovery. Thank you.

Students: Please check your email for announcements and information. Also, make sure you are attending your Google Meets and turning in any assignments. Progress Reports will go home on Friday, February 14th, as long as we do not have any snow or other weather related days out of school. (NTI days count as a regular school day) You may want to check Infinite Campus for any missing work. You do have the ability to make up or improve on low scoring tests. Talk to your teacher to see how you can improve your grade. Stay safe and healthy!

There will be a meeting for Trimble County Schools' students in grades 5-8 interested in playing soccer. The meeting will be held Thursday, January 16 in the JR/SR High library at 6:30 pm. Those interested in participating in a school soccer program are encouraged to attend.

A reminder to all students who enter and/or exit the JR/SR High through the lower lobby/gym area: Please do NOT walk near the gym side of the building. The gym roof is sloped. As melting begins, snow and ice will fall from the building onto the pavement beneath. It often comes in large chunks creating a danger to anyone below. For your safety, please remain several feet away from this area. Student drivers: Please continue to park in the lower parking area until the piles of snow in the side parking spaces are cleared. Thank you all for doing your part to keep everyone safe!

This message is for JR/SR High Drivers: Please try to park in the lower parking area tomorrow. (Down by the football field). If all lower parking area spaces are filled, park in the side areas closest to the main highway. (The normal student parking area, but only those spaces near the front entrance of the school). The snow is piled along the side area parking spots. We need to allow space for parents to get around the building. If lower spaces are full and you are unsure of where to park, find a spot in the normal areas. We will check the situation prior to dismissal and have any vehicle that may impede the flow of traffic moved prior to dismissal. Thank you for helping in this matter. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

For those Juniors who were considering applying to the Governor's School for the Arts, the deadline has been extended to Sunday, January 19th. www.kentuckygsa.org is the website for the application.

Due to the weather, the Blood Drive that was scheduled for the JR/SR High tomorrow has been canceled. We plan to reschedule at a later date. Thank you. Be safe and stay warm!

JR/SR High Parents and Students:
Following is a reminder of our Google meet schedule. Please be sure to join the Google meet for each class period. Information and assignments will be provided at that time. We will work with those who do not have Internet service once teachers can return to the building or upon everyone's return to school. (whichever comes first). For now, be safe and stay warm!
1st 9:30-9:50
2nd 10:00-10:20
3rd 10:30-10:50

LUNCH/BREAK
5th 12:00-12:20

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday break! I hate to interrupt your time, but need to make you aware of potential changes to our return to school. The weather forecast for Sunday into Monday is calling for the possibility of heavy snow. While the forecast may change, we realize that many students may have left their Chromebooks and other essential supplies in their lockers over the break.
To enure students are prepared for a potential NTI day, the JR/SR High will be open today from 12-2 and Friday from 12-3. Students may stop by and retrieve necessary items. Please be sure to enter through the main front doors.
At this time, no decision to close school has been made. This is simply a proactive measure to ensure everyone is prepared should we be unable to return to school on Monday. Be sure to watch for additional information should it become necessary. Thank you!

Seniors and Parents of Seniors, Trimble County High School will be hosting an informational help session on filling out your FAFSA document, with the help of a KHEAA representative. This does include any student in the Future 42 pathway, trade schools, and traditional 4 year institutions. We would be happy to help you make sure you complete this correctly, in order to maximize any financial assistance your child could potentially receive. See details in the flyer below.

The JR/SR High will host Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 25. Parents are encouraged to meet with their student's teachers between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30. Progress reports will be available for pick-up that evening. Students whose parents are unable to attend will be given their progress report the following afternoon.
