Important information from the University of Louisville,
After all of the challenges your students have faced and overcome this year, we want to make applying for college as easy as possible. As a Community of Care, UofL is committed to providing students with the support and access they need to achieve their many goals. Simplifying our application process is one way to start.
We have removed the essay requirement for any student applying for Fall 2021, with or without ACT/SAT scores. Learn more about UofL's ACT/SAT-optional admissions policy.
UofL's J.B. Speed Speed School of Engineering has developed a pathway for direct admission without ACT/SAT scores. This pathway asks students to take the College Board's Accuplacer placement exam in person or remotely. Learn more.
UofL's School of Nursing has developed a pathway for direct admission without ACT/SAT scores. Students will need to take the College Board's Accuplacer placement exam for both mathematics and reading in person or remotely.
The University of Louisville has lowered the ACT/SAT criteria to apply for competitive scholarships and enhancements. Students who appy to UofL without ACT/SAT scores may also be eligible if they meet GPA requirements. Students can view their eligibility and next steps in their UofL Application Gateway as soon as they submit their application for admission.
Please encourage your students to explore UofL this fall!
Academic Info Sessions from each of UofL's nine undergraduate academic units are available this October. These live virtual sessions introduce students to program curriculum, learning opportunities (both inside and outside of the classroom), faculty, and current students and alumni. Students also have the opportunity to ask questions and meet other prospective Cardinals. Registration is required.
We are continuing to offer both in-person visits and virtual experiences this fall.
The Office of Admissions Cardinal Guides are hosting live, interactive campus tours on Instagram every Tuesday and Thursday at 3 pm Eastern. Join us at @uofladmissions.
Please remind your students they may apply to UofL with our Take Flight application or the Common App. We're here to help, so please reach out to your personal admissions counselor at any time.

Morning Drop Off for Jr/Sr High Students at MES:
Welcome Back Trimble County Jr/Sr High families! Thank you for a smooth start to the first day back in person with all student. We wanted to provide clarification for families who will be dropping off students at MES to catch the bus to the Jr/Sr High. The most important thing to note is that buses will be unloading and loading at 7:45 am this year in order to arrive at the Jr/Sr High for breakfast. If you arrive after buses have departed, you will need to provide transportation for your student that day. Please note that due to contact tracing and social distancing measures, students and families will need to follow these guidelines:
• MES will have 2 lanes open for morning drop off a the front parking lot. Jr/Sr High families should plan to use the outside lane only (closest to the cars) for dropping off students. You may drop your student off at the circle to wait for loading.
• Students will board the bus assigned to them for their regular pick up/drop off. If they are unsure, please contact Vanita at the TC board of education.
• If you have an MES student and a Jr/Sr High student, please follow the step above then proceed to primary door drop off to have your MES student’s temperature scanned before student unloading.
• All afternoon car riders will be dismissed from the primary entrance this year. If you are picking up your Jr/Sr High student, they may walk to sidewalk by the circle to enter your car.
We hope that these guidelines will help with student safety and with the traffic flow in the morning allowing families to get to work on time. Please reach out if you have any questions or there is a specific need for your student. We look forward to a great year with students back in person! #weareTC
