Beginning on Monday, 10/25 the masking requirements will change to Optional Masking (tier based) as approved by the TC Board of Education on 10/20. Your child's teacher will be communicating the expectation for their class today. Please check the teacher's normal communication method for their classroom expectations. Many teachers will also be sending this with report cards today. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or the office. We are happy to help. Please note that masks are STILL REQUIRED on school BUSES and may be used in small groups and/or in special area classes. During optional masking, you may also choose to have your child continue to wear their mask throughout the day. We respect your decision . As always, your child's safety is our first priority. We will continue to use sanitizing protocols through the day. Please continue to monitor your child's health before sending them to school each day. Have a great weekend! Mrs. Shinn

Mask
Dear Students and Families, Beginning Monday, October 25th, Masks will be optional for students and staff in school facilities, during the school day, as long as there are less than 25 active covid cases in the district. Currently, there are 5 active cases in the district. District Data will be monitored daily and decisions can be made and change at any time according to the district data. Any changes regarding mask use will be communicated via text messaging, social media, and the district app. to take effect within a 24 hr. time period, if we were to see cases reach or exceed 25. The chart that tracks our active covid cases, is updated daily and can be viewed at this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bNgZns6PQZo-S72DRklk7hnP3pX6DUocezLgTrmd37s/edit#gid=0 Please note, even if district covid cases are less than 25, teachers may still opt to require mask use in their classroom. The mask requirement would just become part of their classroom expectations for students while participating in that specific class. Please know that this is subject to change at any time if we were to experience a spike in cases. You can view the most recent changes to mask use in the attached guidance document. https://drive.google.com/file/d/17ORzdFjr787go8Bs7TPSYonfLl-6Z0dE/view?usp=sharing Thank you for your continued support! #weareTC

Picture Retakes
Dear Families, At Trimble County Schools, we know the importance of school meals in fueling both healthy minds and bodies. Even though school meals may look a little different during School Year 2021-2022, please know that your school nutrition team is working hard to ensure students have safe, nutritious, and appealing meals. Today, I am writing to share how our district is working to overcome food supply and labor challenges related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency so that students continue to receive school meals. At times, our school district may not receive expected food orders due to labor shortages (such as delivery drivers) and limited product availability (for example, discontinued products or not enough of a specific type of product). As a result, your school may need to make last-minute changes to the menu or substitute a different brand of a food product. We know that students have favorite menu items and are working hard to provide them whenever possible. We are also thinking ahead to identify alternative food items that are nutritious and appealing for the students. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work to provide school meals in a challenging and changing environment. Please contact Angela Adkins, Trimble County Schools Nutrition Director with any questions, feedback, or suggestions 502-663-0043 or via e-mail at angela.adkins@trimble.kyschools.us.
