Logistics for In-Person Student Orientation... Upon arriving for student orientation, students should remain in their car at their designated location (listed below, according to sign-up entry slots), so that temperatures may be checked prior to entering the building. Student drivers may park their car in the student lot and walk up to their designated entry. Entry A (Juniors/Seniors) - enter at south end of building (hallway by Mrs. Craig-Smith's room) Entry B (Grades 8-10) - enter at gym lobby Entry C (Grades 8-10) - enter at back cafeteria doors Entry D (Grade 7 & New to District)- enter at north end (Mt. Pleasant) of building Students should remember to dress for their school picture to be taken, wear a mask, and bring their charged device to access orientation materials. Good Afternoon, A reminder that Chromebook distribution will begin tomorrow, August 19 for Juniors and Seniors from 10 am till 6 pm. Freshmen and Sophomore Chromebook pickup will be on Thursday from 10 am till 6 pm, and grades 7-8 can pick theirs up on Friday, again 10-6. This will be a drive thru service so please enter at the Mt. Pleasant entrance. We are asking that the online registration be completed prior to pickup in order to help expedite the process. Anyone needing assistance with on line registration due to internet issues will have an opportunity to register during your child's designated day/time. If for whatever reason your child was not issued a Chromebook last year, please contact the school (502 255 7781) so we can prepare a device for your child. We will have multiple staff members to help assist in this process each day. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you this week.

Good afternoon! Chromebook pickup for Jr/Sr High students begins this week! Online Student Registration must be completed prior to issuing student devices. You may access the online registration tool on the district website, www.trimble.kyschools.us. Any parent requiring assistance with the registration process, or a reliable internet connection, will have the opportunity to complete the online registration during grade-level designated pick-up. There is a $75 technology fee for Jr/Sr High students utilizing a school device. Fees will be collected at time of pick-up. Pick-up and registration help will be held between the hours of 10am and 6pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Parents of current-year Juniors and Seniors will register and/or pick up Chromebooks, and submit technology fee payments on Wednesday, August 19th. Parents of current-year Freshmen and Sophomores will complete the process on Thursday, August 20th. Parents of current-year 7th and 8th grade students will complete the process on Friday, August 21st. If your family has students in multiple grade levels, please contact the school for streamlined procedures, requiring only one trip to the school. The pickup process will be conducted as a drive-thru service, beginning at the Mount Pleasant entrance, circling the back of the building and around to the main entrance. If online registration needs to be completed, please park behind the gym and enter through the gym lobby. Masks are required to enter the building. Please be patient as capacity guidelines must be followed. Once registration is complete, a form will be provided to give to the technology coordinator to receive student devices. Once you have registered, and have been provided a form, please re-join the drive-through line and proceed to the main entrance. Additional information pertaining to student orientation will be provided later this week, so please stay tuned. Our faculty and staff are disappointed that we are unable to begin school with in-person learning, however we are committed to providing all students with a positive virtual-learning experience. Scholarship Opportunity The Horatio Alger Association offers one of the largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country. The Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who've faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are primarily focused on recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, they seek students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need. The application period for high school seniors pursuing bachelor's degree programs ends October 25.  The application for career and technical education is open until August 15; this is for students pursuing associate degrees or technical certifications. School Supplies - Jr/Sr High (Grades 7-12) Students at the Jr/Sr High will need basic school supplies, such as folders and notebooks for each class, pencils, colored pencils/markers for projects, and earbuds/headphones. Additionally, Jr High students will need a T130XIIS calculator. The school will happily accept any donations of hand sanitizer and tissues. Additional materials may be needed for specific classes, and those supplies will be shared upon the start of school by each classroom teacher.

2020-2021 Juniors and Seniors: The deadline to enroll in EES 110 (Endangered Planet: An Introduction to Environmental Geology) has been extended to July 31. This course will be offered on our campus. Ms. Maldonado will teach this course along with a UK professor. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. Please refer to the online course descriptions handbook for a complete description of the course. Students wishing to enroll must contact Ms. Stewart by email or at 255-5100 x 2003 by the indicated date to ensure all paperwork can be completed in time. KHEAA dual credit scholarships and free/reduced lunch grant waivers may be utilized to cover the course cost.
