Diamonds and Denim Father/Daughter Dance April 23rd @ Bedford Elementary School 7:30-9:30 Girls are invited to bring Dad, Uncle, Grandpa or any other special guest. The night will include: dancing, crafts, refreshments, pictures, prizes, and more! You may purchase your tickets at the door. $10.00 per couple We hope to see you there!

FYI... The UMC Ministries food truck will be at the board office parking lot today from 3:30 to 4:30.

BES Families: We are experiencing difficulty with our thermometers registering accurately in the colder weather. Starting Monday we will take temperatures at the primary and intermediate doors. There will still be a staff member monitoring car riders as they exit vehicles. After exiting cars students should walk to their usual entry door and staff members will be waiting to take temperatures. Parents will be contacted if a student has a temperature. Please continue to closely monitor your child’s health and keep him/her home if they have any Covid related symptoms. Thank you for supporting BES as we work to keep our car rider lines moving steady while also ensuring everyone is safe and healthy.

BES SBDM will have a special meeting on Tuesday, November 24 at 2:00 in the BES Library.

We understand that virtual learning can be a challenge and many families are anxious to have their children return to school. Although we are unable to do that fully at this time, we have been given the okay to have small groups of students come into the building for face-to-face instruction with their teachers. Grade levels will rotate on various days as we must keep capacity below 15%. We will be able to begin this on Tuesday, September 8. In order to best utilize this time and reach as many students as possible, we will be scheduling appointments. Each small group time will last 2 hours and transportation will be provided, if needed. Both staff and students will be required to wear appropriate face coverings during this time. If you would like to have your child participate in small group instruction with the teacher, please call the school to set up an appointment. We anticipate that many families will want to take advantage of this opportunity and ask that you be patient as we schedule. BES plans to issue devices (Chromebooks) on August 20 for students with last names A-M, and August 21 for N-Z. Devices may be picked up from 9-3:00 on those dates. There is a $50 technology fee if you choose to use a district issued device. There will be 4 stations set up in front of the BES entrance. Please stand in line beside the cones in order to social distance. If all spots are full please remain in your car until a spot is available. Please wear a mask. BES staff is very upset that we are unable to start school with in-person learning however we are committed to creating a positive virtual school experience for students. This information is also extremely important as we plan the spacial arrangements of classrooms and common spaces. Incoming 5-12 graders interested in trying out for the 2020-21 cheer program may pick up forms at the JR/SR High building.
