ATTENTION JUNIORS-SHELBY ENERGY YOUTH TOUR We are excited to announce that Shelby Energy will sponsor three students for the 2022 Washington Youth Tour June 17-23. Last year, the Youth Tour was cancelled due to COVID-19, but we are so happy to provide this opportunity again. However, we are required to provide the names of participants by January 1. For this reason, we are asking that all applications be completed by December 30. We have simplified the applications this year and will only require a short essay from our applicants. This is a week-long event where Juniors from across the country meet in Washington D.C. to tour museums and government buildings to learn about our nation’s history, governments and the role that Cooperatives play in our future. To be eligible, students must be a Junior as of Fall 2021, and they must have a parent or legal guardian that is currently served by Shelby Energy Cooperative. Please share this information with students. Applications are available at www.shelbyenergy.com/youthprograms To learn more about the Electric Cooperative Washington Youth Tour, please visit https://kyelectric.coop/youth-tour/ and check out the article here: https://kyelectric.coop/2018/07/27/life-changing-washington-youth-tour/
