The relationship between school and home is a critical piece of a student's success at school. As part of the requirements for our Schoolwide Title 1 Program, MES has developed a Schoolwide Plan based on data collected through a Comprehensive Needs Assessment using data such as MAP, KPREP, the Brigance Early Childhood Screener, and more to determine programs and services that are needed to best support student learning. In the spring, I shared the plan for the 2023-24 academic year with our focus on the Schoolwide Math Curriculum, a Structured Literacy Program inclusive of Foundational Reading Skills and Guided Reading and Response to Intervention. This plan identifies how funding is utilized and the process of achieving our goals. As part of the plan, it is essential that the school works collaboratively with our families in order to make the best decisions and to provide a wrap-around approach to support student achievement.

We invite you to review the Milton Elementary School Title 1 Parent-School Learning Compact for the 2023-24 school year. This document shows the role of Parent/Guardian, Student, Teacher, and Principal in ensuring that students are successful.

As always, feel free to reach out when you have questions about your child's progress.
