To log into the network: If you're a new employee, you should get a hard copy of these instructions which will include your USERID (first.last@trimble.kyschools.us) and a temporary password.

You will have to change the Password. The new PW must be a minimum of 15 characters and should be a passphrase. 

passphrase is a sequence of words or other text used to control access to a computer system, program or data. A passphrase is similar to a password in usage, but is generally longer for added security.

PASSWORD POLICY APPLIES TO ALL EMPLOYEES SO YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WARNING THAT YOUR PASSWORD IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE, PRESS CTRL-ALT-DEL AND CHOOSE "CHANGE PASSWORD". YOU MUST ADHERE TO THE PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS SHOWN ABOVE.

Self Service Password Reset

If you are not in the district, you can go to Microsoft Online Password Reset and reset your password there. It will write back to the local server within 45 minutes so you will be able to log into a workstation or laptop. Chromebooks and email on your personal device should be instant.

Multifactor Authentication

We are using MFA for all logins that happen outside of the district. You should have received instructions on how to set this up. If not, click on the link for an explanation and setup instructions.

Network Folder - Your network user account includes a network folder that is stored on a server in the district and which is backed up daily. You’ll see your name as a mapped drive under “Computer” when you click the start button. You should store all of your data on this drive rather than in “My Documents” on your local computer because local files are NOT backed up. Create subfolders for better organization.

Printers – We are utilizing our Miller copier contract to provide print functionality. If you do not see a printer listed when trying to print, please press the Windows key + R on your Windows keyboard and type \\E561cvapps and press the Enter key. This will open a folder with all of the printers in the district. Locate "FindMe", right click on it and click on CONNECT. This will set up a fake printer that will hold the print jobs until they are retrieved from a copier by entering the Employee ID that was assigned to you.

To add the FindMe printer to a Chromebook, open the Google webstore and seach for MobilityPrint. it should have a green icon. Install it. Upon first use, it should prompt you to sign in. When your password expires and you change it, you will have to sign in again with your new credentials.

Email - The Microsoft Outlook icon should be on your desktop. You’ll have to set it up but that just requires you to click “next” a few times. You can also get email from home by using the Staff Webmail link on www.trimble.kyschools.us , or by going to www.office.com. Set up subfolders to organize your mail better.
