Dear Trimble County Students and Families,

Wow.. what a whirlwind it has been!  It seems information and plans are changing daily in our state and local community. The TC School Staff remains very optimistic, and has faith that the changes being made will help to protect us all.  With that being said, it is necessary that we make changes to our current school calendar to follow the recommendations from our Governor, Commissioner and the CDC to ensure the health and well-being of our students, staff, and community. 

As a result of the Governors recent recommendations, we will be closing school for an additional week beginning March 30th through April 3rd. The state has granted all school districts 10 additional NTI Days to use. Our district will use 5 more days the 30th - 3rd. These will be Raider Days 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Our teachers have worked this week to prepare lesson plans and student packets for these 5 additional days. Student work packets and/or online learning tools for Raider Days 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 can be picked up from your child’s school from 9am to 3pm on any of the following days: Thursday -March 19th, Friday -March 20th or Monday -March 23rd.  Beginning March 24th through March 27th, we will deliver packets to the homes of students that haven’t been picked up.  Teachers will also be communicating plans and lessons via electronic tools for those students who have Internet access.  Teachers will continue to be available to provide support remotely to help students be successful and continue to move forward in their learning.  

We will continue to provide free meals March 30th – April 3rd.  Meals can be picked up between 12pm and 1pm at the following pick-up sites:  * Trimble County Jr/Sr. High for all Bedford area students- drive around to the back of the building for pick up.  * Milton Elementary School for all Milton area students- pull around to the back by the gym doors. Families that do not have transportation and are unable to access one of the pick-up sites may call 502-255-3201 to request delivery. Please provide the following information: your name, address, how many children are in the home, and we can arrange to deliver meals to you starting at 12pm.

We miss our students terribly and know that this is a difficult time for our families.  Don’t forget that we are here to help in any way that we can and know that it is essential that we support each other during this time. We are ALL on the same team! #wearetc
