Instructional Update 11-14-19

Thursday, November 14, 2019

We have completed our second round of walkthroughs and will begin round three.  Between now and the Christmas break, our focus will be B-High Expectations Environment that Incorporates the Learning Cycle.  Attached you will find a copy of the feedback form we will utilize.  Each week in my instructional update, I will provide some tools to help you unpack what it means to have a High Expectations Environment that Incorporates the Learning Cycle in our classrooms.  This is also found in the light blue colored section of our learner centered anchor chart that continues to guide our instructional practice this year.

Attached is a chart that identifies characteristic behaviors that can indicate whether you have high expectations or low expectations for students…this can be used as a starting point as we begin to reflect on how what we do impacts the outcome in the classroom.

Think about where you might fall in the attached chart and how you might move more actions to exemplify the column on the right.  These are some little tweaks that will yield great results.

Thank you for all you do for the students of Trimble County!
