Ready or not... here it comes! So here's a little information to help you prepare for his arrival!!!

The Trimble County School System may make the decision to close early, to delay, or to cancel school when winter weather makes driving conditions hazardous. We carefully evaluate each situation on a case-by-case basis. Typically, we will check roads between 4:30 and 5:00a.m. and then reconvene around 5 a.m. to discuss road and weather conditions so that an informed decision can be made. We will make every reasonable effort to make announcements by 5:30 AM. If we are in the middle of several days of bad weather and a decision can be made in the evening, we will most certainly do so.

School closings, delays or early dismissals will be posted on the school’s website and social media sites as soon as the decision is made. A text message and phone call will also be sent out via our communication system. It will also be shared via the following avenues:

District Websitehttps://www.trimble.kyschools....

Radio Stations —  WORX 96.7 FM, WXGO 1270 AM, Froggy 95.9 FM

Television media — WAVE, WDRB, WHAS and WLKY

If no announcement is made, schools will operate on a normal schedule.

Weather conditions sometimes become unfavorable during the day after children have arrived at school. In the event we have to dismiss early, the same methods of communication will be utilized in notifying parents. Working parents are advised to make arrangements for childcare on days when schools must be dismissed early. Also, please review the information you have listed as emergency contacts and make sure that the numbers are updated, either through Infinite Campus Parent Portal or with your child’s school office. We will communicate closings, delays, and early dismissals as quickly as possible. Our primary concern is the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for your continued support....It’s About Every Student, Every Day!
