Dear Trimble County Middle School Families,
This letter is being provided to inform you of the process and procedures for Raider Days at Trimble County Middle School. It is our hope that the use of Raider days will limit the interruption of learning that occurs due to school closings, as it will allow students to continue their learning at home by completing assignments that provide review opportunities and application of prior learning. By continuing learning during inclement weather, Raider days do not have to be made up at the end of the year.
Raider days WILL NOT be used for every inclement weather day. Raider days will be announced using the District One-Call messages, radio/television broadcasts, the district website, and social media sites.
In the event of a Raider day, the following procedures are in place for students at TCMS…
How do students access and submit assignments?
Students that have access to internet and devices at home (as indicated by student) will be able to access their assignments using Google Classroom. Students have been given instruction as to where/how to access the assignments their teachers have prepared for them. Assignments completed in Google Classroom will be submitted online.
7th Grade Google Classroom code: 2xnl0b
8th Grade Google Classroom code: uv03ig1
This information is also available on our school website: http://www.trimble.kyschools.us/2/Home
Students that do not have access to internet or devices (as indicated by student) will be provided a student folder, prepared by the teachers, that contain the same assignments as their peers. Hardcopy assignments will be turned in by the students to their first period teacher, upon return to school.
What if the student/parent needs help on a Raider day?
In order to assist with questions and assignment completion, the staff at TCMS will be available in various ways.
