9-19 MARCHING BAND IS CANCELLED TODAY!!!

9-21 If you are interested in helping plan See You At the Pole see Mrs. Haney this week

 

9/27 See You At the Pole is a time to join with your peers to pray for our world, our country, our community and our school. Join us on the football field before school on Wednesday, September 27th for food, fun, and fellowship!

 

9/29  Sophomores and juniors who are interested in taking the PSAT test should sign up with Ms. Haney in the library this week.  This optional exam is the qualifier for the National Merit program for juniors and serves as a practice test for the sophomore class.  The cost of the test is $16 and must be paid at the time that you sign up with Ms. Haney.  This is a great opportunity to participate in a national scholarship program and have an additional test score for college admittance, scholarships, and the Governor’s Scholars Program application.  Again, $16 to Ms. Haney to reserve your spot, ASAP!  - Brigette

 

9/22- The Smile Club will be doing a fundraiser to help the hurricane victims of Texas and Florida for several weeks through Sept till October 31.  

1st is Friday 9/22 hat or pajamas for $1.00 per person.  We can make a difference!!!!

 

9/27 - Picture orders are due by Wednesday, September 27th. Please turn the orders in at the front office. Picture retakes are October 12th.

 

9-26 Band/Choir cookie Dough fundraiser will be delivered on Sept. 26

 

9/29/17 - Seniors going to NYC…. Permission forms and a $250 deposit are due by 9/29 if you plan to attend.  See Mrs. Harmon for more information.

 

9/30 - There are a few extra copies of the 2017 TCHS yearbook. These books suffered some minor damage during shipping and are ½ price - $25.  See Mrs. Long if you are interested.

 

10-11 Picture Retakes Oct. 12

 

 

9/26- Auditions for Drama Club’s spring play, Pride and Prejudice, will be September 27th, 28th, and 29th. The sign up sheet for auditions will remain on Mrs. Liter’s door (room 203) until the day before auditions. To audition, you must memorize and perform a monologue from Pride and Prejudice, preferably the 2005 version. If you want a speaking role, you must audition. If you simply wish to be an “extra,” see Mrs. Liter. Backstage people do not need to audition- only actors.

 

10/13 Important senior dates:

? SENIORS - check out the Guidance Office web page for information on testing, transcripts, college visits, etc. Go to the TCHS webpage, click on Quick Links then Guidance Office. Parents are encouraged to check this page frequently.

? FAFSA NIGHT - will be held on Tuesday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the TCHS Library for both parents and students. This session will give you the opportunity to fill out the FAFSA form for with your student. In addition, Bob McDermott will be on hand to answer questions and assist us in the financial aid process.
